Adam and Eve – No Resurrection

In this Bible Study we will look at one of the biggest topics among Christians, Adam and Eve. The fascination about them centres around two main topics in particular. The first is generally the idea that Adam and Eve will have gone to Heaven (if you believe in the idea of Heaven and Hell after we die) or resurrected at all. The other belief is the idea that the fruit they ate was an Apple.

In this Article I won’t be getting into the idea of the fruit that was eaten, but it will be clear from the Scripture presented in this Article alone that nobody knows what type of fruit it was, but it wasn’t an apple, for scripture does not tell us that it was. This Article will specifically cover whether Adam and Eve will receive a resurrection or be resurrected at all.

For this article, we need to go back to the very beginning of the Bible. The understanding of whether Adam and Eve will be resurrected may seem unimportant, however it is seriously important in aiding a student of the Truth in understanding the all-encompassing requirements for humanity as a whole, especially for Christians and those who will gain eternal life or even a Heavenly Existence as a member of the 144,000 (you should read the Articles Eternal Life and The 144,000 for more in-depth information regarding these topics if you have not already done so).

The first Human that Yahweh God made was Man, who he named Adam. Adam was made, as was Eve, in the Image of Yahweh God and the Heavenly Host who already existed at the time Yahweh God made the Earth. We can see that the Heavenly Host was made before the Earth in a simple verse in the Bible in Genesis in the creation Story which many people miss:

NJB Genesis 1:26-31
26.
God said, “Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground.”
27.
God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.

Notice the highlighted “Comment” specifically from Yahweh God, saying: “Let us make man in our own image,…”? This is not somebody else saying it, it is a direct statement by Yahweh God. With no humans on earth, who would Yahweh God be talking to? He would not be talking to himself, that would be a sign of insanity, and we know Yahweh God is not insane, so he must have been talking to the Heavenly Host or the Senior Angels he had with him in heaven at the time he created the Earth. We know from other Bible Articles and other areas in the Bible that Michael at least was with him, because Michael / Jesus (you should read the Article: Jesus Christ and the Archangel Michaelregarding this point) uses the statements: “first-born of all creation (NJB Colossians 1:15)” and that “before Abraham ever was, I am. (NJB John 8:58). Some believe that in John 8:58 Jesus was claiming to use God’s name of I AM but this is not the general acceptance of the verse as can be seen from the two other versions of the Bible:

— Simple English

John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “I am telling you the truth: I was alive before Abraham was born!

— Living Bible

John 8:58 Jesus: “The absolute truth is that I was in existence before Abraham was ever born!

Only The New King James and New American misinterpret this verse to cause it to conform to an unscriptural doctrine.

So at the very least we know that Yahweh God was talking to Michael / Christ or the Heavenly Host present with him at the time he created the Earth, Adam and Eve.

We know that everything God made was Good (or Perfect as a Creation of God). The Bible tells us:

NJB Genesis 1:31
31.
God saw all he had made, and indeed it was very good. Evening came and morning came: the sixth day.

As Yahweh God made Adam and Eve from nothing into Man, then they had to be perfect creations of God, just as the Angels were perfect creations of God. Satan, while a betrayer, is an angel and is a perfect creation of God. He made a free-will choice, much as the Angels that left Heaven for human women did in Genesis 6:1-2 and also mentioned in Jude 1:6.

These Angels, like Adam and Eve, are all perfect creations of Yahweh God. This concept of Perfection entails their physical makeup. Directly created by God, their full loyalty and trust should have been in Yahweh God, yet some chose to ignore that. This is why Satan was removed from heaven by his choice of Free will. Free Will is very important in this context. All Human’s now have Free Will, we have this because our original Parents did something they were told NOT to do.

God’s plan for Man was for them to go forth, multiply and follow his commands and live eternally on the Earth that God had created for them. This can be seen in the Bible as well:

NJB Genesis 1:26-31
27.
God created man in the image of himself,
in the image of God he created him,
male and female he created them.
28. God blessed them, saying to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it. Be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that move on earth.”
29.
God also said, “Look, to you I give all the seed-bearing plants everywhere on the surface of the earth, and all the trees with seed-bearing fruit; this will be your food.
30.
And to all the wild animals, all the birds of heaven and all the living creatures that creep along the ground, I give all the foliage of the plants as their food.” And so it was.

We can also see how Yahweh God made Adam and Eve perfect creations through the following verses:

NJB Genesis 2:5-7
Paradise, and the test of free will
5.
there was as yet no wild bush on the earth nor had any wild plant yet sprung up, for Yahweh God had not sent rain on the earth, nor was there any man to till the soil.
6. Instead, water flowed out of the ground and watered all the surface of the soil.
7. Yahweh God shaped man from the soil of the ground and blew the breath of life into his nostrils, and man became a living being.

As part of the Creation of the Earth, Yahweh God planted a Garden for Adam and Eve, it contained two very special trees:

NJB Genesis 2:8–9

8. Yahweh God planted a garden in Eden, which is in the east, and there he put the man he had fashioned.
9. From the soil, Yahweh God caused to grow every kind of tree, enticing to look at and good to eat, with the tree of life in the middle of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Yahweh God gave Adam and Eve one simple command for their time in the Garden:

NJB Genesis 2:15-17

15. Yahweh God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and take care of it.
16. Then Yahweh God gave the man this command, “You are free to eat of all the trees in the garden.
17.
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you are not to eat; for, the day you eat of that, you are doomed to die.”

There are two very important pieces of information that need to be taken into consideration in these few verses.

1. Adam and Eve can eat of EVERY TREE in the Garden, EXCEPT one.

2. The Tree they are NOT TO EAT from is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

This means that even the Tree of Life, which was in the middle of the Garden as mentioned in Genesis 2:16 Adam and Eve were permitted to eat from, so this is what gave them, or would have given them, eternal life on the Earth God had created for them and whatever Children they may have had. They could not even keep this command, for as we see, they were “Tempted” into eating of the Tree AGAINST Gods direct command:

NJB Genesis 3:1-13
The Fall
1.
Now, the snake was the most subtle of all the wild animals that Yahweh God had made. It asked the woman, “Did God really say you were not to eat from any of the trees in the garden?”
2.
The woman answered the snake, “We may eat the fruit of the trees in the garden.
3. But of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden God said, `You must not eat it, nor touch it, under pain of death.’ ”
4. Then the snake said to the woman, “No! You will not die!
5.
God knows in fact that the day you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like gods, knowing good from evil.”
6.
The woman saw that the tree was good to eat and pleasing to the eye, and that it was enticing for the wisdom that it could give. So she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.

There are several things to take special note of in these verses. Firstly, Notice the way that the Snake “Phrases” the question to Eve in verse 1? The phrasing is worth noting because it is one of the many ways that the twisting of words allows Satan entry to “TEMPT” us.

Again, in Verses 4 and 5 you have the subtle twisting of the truth by Satan to Eve about what will really happen. It is irrelevant WHAT eating the fruit from the Tree will allow to occur, Adam and Eve were commanded directly by God NOT TO EAT of that tree.

While true that they were “Tempted” and “Tricked” into eating the fruit, they still directly or “Willfully” disobeyed a command from God. For that Willful disobedience of Gods command, they were removed from the Garden.

NJB Genesis 3:17-24
20.
The man named his wife “Eve” because she was the mother of all those who live.
21. Yahweh God made tunics of skins for the man and his wife and clothed them.
22.
Then Yahweh God said, “Now that the man has become like one of us in knowing good from evil, he must not be allowed to reach out his hand and pick from the tree of life too, and eat and live forever!”
23.
So Yahweh God expelled him from the garden of Eden, to till the soil from which he had been taken.
24.
He banished the man, and in front of the garden of Eden he posted the great winged creatures and the fiery flashing sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.

With the above verses it can be seen that Man gained Free Will, but Adam and Eve lost their place in the Garden of Eden, Animals were killed to cloth them, they lost access to be able to eat from the Tree of Life, which they had general access to eternal life from, and if you go even further, they gave birth to the first Murderer and Murdered humans in human history because of WILLFUL DISOBEDIENCE.

As perfect creations, given a direct command from God NOT TO DO SOMETHING, they betrayed him and wilfully disobeyed him and gained eternal death by doing it, as God commanded, that the day they ate the fruit they would die.

Never will Adam and Eve be resurrected, for they WILFULLY sinned against God’s command as PERFECT Creations of God.
