About The Discussion Sermons

We want to clarify that unlike most mainstream Christian Churches, our Sermons are not exactly Sermons in the same sense of the word but more of a Discussion Topic that members of the Church and anybody else present are more than welcome to get involved in once the sermon topic is started, including asking questions, asking for specific reading areas in Scripture and so on.
To explain further, Yahweh's Truth in New Jerusalem Church does not actually "sermonise at" its members or those that are looking into the Church and Christian life and "The Truth" of the Bible and Scripture. We give pointers like the Bible Study Articles on the Website which are designed to start a thinking process within the individual, making them move on to study for themselves or study much deeper than they probably have before.
The Purpose of the Discussion Sermon and articles of having people study themselves or study further themselves away from being told about "church doctrines" and "what they should believe" is because only when one studies the word of God from Scripture themselves can the Spirit of Truth decend upon the person and guide them with understanding of what they are reading. This can not occur when being told exactly what they should believe because as specific "Church Doctrine demands" what they should and should not believe, hence the reason and purpose for the Sermon Discussions and the Bible Study Articles from Yahweh's Truth in New Jerusalem Christian Church.
